Sweet Hot Spiced Nuts
SWEET HOT SPICED NUTS
1 egg white
2 cups unbleached almonds
2 tsp canola oil
1/3 cup sugar
3/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground allspice
In a large bowl, beat egg white until frothy. Add almonds & oil, stir gently to coat. Combine the remaining ingredients; add to egg white mixture & stir to coat.
Spread into a 15 by 10 by 1 inch baking pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 300 F for 18 to 22 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring once. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
Makes 2 cups.
