You heard that right, five simple ingredients for a delicious, juicy, and flavorful Sunday Roast! These ingredients are probably some that you already have on hand! A package of Lipton onion soup mix, a can of beef broth soup, a can of french onion soup, and a package of brown gravy dry mix. My family has been making this recipe for years, and it never disappoints! The flavor is bold and unique. It's the perfect recipe to add to your weekly Sunday dinner rotation!

My favorite thing about this recipe is that you can cook it in any method you prefer. I am a big Instant Pot fan, as you all probably already know. I love that it cuts the cooking time down, while keeping everything juicy and flavorful! I almost always cook my roast in the Instant Pot now! You can also cook this roast up in the crock pot or in the conventional oven, and I will post all the variations in the recipe details below!

Sunday Roast

2-2.5 pound Beef Roast
1 package of brown gravy mix, dry
1 can beef broth soup
1 can french onion soup
1 dry packet of dried Lipton onion soup
1 cup water

In the Instant Pot:

Press the Saute button on the Instant Pot. Add a couple tablespoons of olive oil to the pot, and sear the outsides of the roast until brown. Add the beef broth, french onion soup, onion soup mix, and brown gravy to the pot. Give it a quick stir and seal the lid. Switch the Instant Pot to manual and set the timer to 60-80 minutes, depending on the size of the Roast (20 minutes per pound). Allow the Instant Pot to naturally release the pressure for 10 minutes, before quick releasing the rest of the pressure. Slice and serve.

In the Crock Pot:

In a frying pan over medium high heat, add a few tablespoons of olive oil. Sear the outsides of the roast until brown. Transfer the roast to the crock pot and all of the remaining ingredients. Place the lid on and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

In the Oven:

Preheat panggangan to 325.
Place a dutch panggangan pan on the stove top and heat to medium high heat. Add a couple tablespoons of olive oil to the pan, and sear the outsides of the roast until brown. Add the remaining ingredients to the dutch oven.
Place the dutch panggangan in the oven, covered, and cook for 3 hours.
